Hi:

It only works while the file is open.  If you exit and come back, you have to 
do it again.

I went one step further with this test. I created a text file in 
the word processor. I locked it with control-e which only worked 
as long as I remained in the word processor. After saving the 
document and exiting the program, I launched the word processor 
again and reloaded the test document. It wasn't protected any 
more. I then exited the program again and went into file 
explorer, navigated to the test file and pulled up the menu to 
see if it offered a lock option. It didn't so I just tried 
pointing to the file and pressing control-e but that too failed 
to protect the file. Unless I am overlooking something here, 
there seems to be no way to protect a file using current firmware 
in my Braille Plus.
