Otis,
From Apps Menu, type 62 for file Explorer. Press the right Arrow to open the Hard drive. Arrow down to library, and press the Right Arrow to open that folder. Under Library, you'll see Books and Periodicals. Press the Right Arrow on Books, and there is the Import folder.

how are you trying to access it?  using file explorer, I find it under
library/books.

Tip: once you have imported a book, you can remove it from the import
folder.
