Even though we all want to beta test the machine and be the first with the shiny new toy. It is impossible to think that level star and APH will send machines to member of the public. If I am not mistaken, The beta test is going to be a close beta with people selected by both companies and who knows, people from the company itself. In fact, I kow a beta tester for freedomscientific. FS pays him to beta test and he plays around with the new devices. But on part of its contract it is stated that he cannot share details with the general public and that if he sells or lends the machine, it will mean he is automatically fired and most pay for the machine, and pay a fee and be subject to a law suit depending on how grave is the violation of its contract. Of corse, not all beta contracts are that stricked. But if you take the time to read the agreements, you can 
see how binding and ristrictive they can be.

I doubt level star will let people beta test the machine. What will happen if the release comes out and people doesn't want to return the machines if they don't want to purchase? Betqa testing software is perfectly OK because people at the company can just send a "stop working" command. But on actual machines? I really doubt it. Maybe they will do what they did on the Icon release. They will do an early bird special.
