James:

I know you've mentioned doing a Reset, but have you done a Restore, which will
take you to the Factory Defaults, which would probably clear up all of the
little quirky stuff you're talking about.

First, make sure your battery does have some charge to it. Then, hold down the
Reset and * at the same time. Let upon the Reset after 5 seconds, but keep the
* held down until it vibrates.

Then, wait for it to reflash. It'll take a couple of minutes or more.

This won't destroy files on the hard drive, but you might want to use the
Backup feature for flash.

You might also do a check disk, while connected to the PC and see if you have
any corruption.

Hi all,

I am having a similar problem to my recording one, except that this time, it is
with the music player. I'll be listening to music, and all of a sudden the
Braille plus will close the program and take me back to the applications menu.
I tried a reset and both my recording problem and this one are still happening.
Interestingly enough, this issue with the music player only started today.

Also, my battery gage appears to be very, very inaccurate. When I unplugged the
Braille plus this morning, it said I had 98 percent of the battery remaining. I
only used it a total of about three hours today, and it is already dead. The
battery gage says 1 percent and the unit is turning off on its own after about
20 seconds because it says the battery is critically low. I don't know if the
unit is not charging propperly or if the battery gage is horribly messed up.
What can I do? I like this unit a lot, but all these problems are starting to
change my oppinion in a hurry.

Thanks for any assistance,

James in TN
