- Bob: We might issue another release without it.
Bug 188 Empty .ami file:
- Bob showed the bug files.
- Bob: All of the files are empty.
- Running ibischk6.1.2 on the .ibs produces only the version line.
- Running ibischk6.1.2 on the .ami also passes the file.
- Mike: Most likely the parser is dropping out early.
- Maybe if it can be made to continue it will perform all of the required
item checks.
- Bob: With just a single comment character it reports IBIS Version cannot be
determined.
- In that case -numbered has no effect though.
- Mike: We should test with a few empty lines.
- Bob tested a .ibs file with empty lines, and it did report the error.
- Mike: The bug is strictly is for empty files.
- Bob: The .ami file must have at least a root.
- Mike: Some Reserved_Parameters are required too.
- Bob tested variations of the .ami file.
- Bob: A comment character, left paren, or any character generates an error.
- Bob: We have used empty files as part of testcases for some time.
- Mike: Fixing it might break some regression tests.
- Bob: the version has to be the first keyword, but comments appearing before
that must comply with old rules, 80 character per line limit.
- No user has reported this bug.
Bug 187 Missing newlines in error message
- Bob: This generates superfluous warnings ahead of the one that matters.
- It has some [Model] subparameters out of place.
- Also in Output model has Vinh/Vinl.
AR: Bob Ross to clean up bug 187 testcase to remove superfluous warnings.
- Bob: The dates of these new bugs will be changed to the posted date.
- Mike: I use an "ibischk" script that wraps multiple versions of ibischk.
- It adds several enhancements including automatic -ami/-ebd based on file
extension.
- Bob: That might be a useful ibischk enhancement.
