--------------------------
Call for patent disclosure:

- No one declared a patent.

-----
Opens:

None.

-------------
Review of ARs:

- David Banas report Xilinx position on LTI assumption for SerDes
  - No update

- Arpad: Write parameter passing syntax proposal (BIRD draft)
for *-AMS models in IBIS that is consistent with the
parameter passing syntax of the AMI models
  - TBD

- TBD: Propose a parameter passing syntax for the SPICE
  - [External ...] also?
  - TBD

- Arpad: Review the documentation (annotation) in the macro libraries.
  - Deferred until a demand arises or we have nothing else to do

-------------
New Discussion:

Todd shared a presentation "IBIS-ATM BIRD Update":
- This describes an ambiguity problem in the AMI BIRD.
- SiSoft & Cadence AMI results were correlated to HSPICE.
- SiSoft & Cadence differed on perception of the inputs to GetWave().
- Running the SiSoft model in the Cadence tester would double-count Hcr & Htei.
- An experiment with a modified SiSoft model proves a good match.
- Proposal: New AMI Use_Init_Output param to specify which way it works.
- Mike: Will model makers understand which way to go?
  - Todd: (insert long answer here).
- Bob: We should get this into BIRD form right away.
- The analysis at the bottom of the BIRD need not change.
- This needs a new BIRD number since the AMI BIRD has already passed.
- The new BIRD can be introduced at IBIS Open Forum this Friday.

AR: Cadence and SiSoft BIRDify the Use_Init_Output param proposal

Walter shared his proposed EMD Solution presentation:
- Walter, Bob and Michael M. met with IEEE PIC group
  - IEEE want signal integrity models for backplanes
- IEEE suggested adding XYZ coords to [mPins]
- Walter added Part_Number to [Components]
  - This may be a corporate P/N, not necessarily vendor P/N
- John: Can an ICM be called in addition to IBIS?
  - Walter: Yes, but the details of that would have to be worked out
  - ICM could be a SPICE "meta object"

AR: Todd send presentation to Mike L.
AR: Mike L: post Todd's IBIS-ATM BIRD Update presentation to web

Next meeting: 8 April 2007 12:00pm PT
