Here is a simple slide set to frame our MCP discussion for today.
Also, here is a simple set of explanations answering Arpad's IBIS-ISS question
on scaling:
Scaling is through an "S parameter" (yes, unfortunate name), similar to the M
parameter for device circuits. Scaling is activated by using an "S" on the
instantiation line of a subcircuit, as in:
Xmycircuit in out circuit_definition S=1u
Separate .option statements are used to control whether scaling is active or
not (meaning, does S refer to a user-defined parameter or actual scaling) and
what the default scale of the subcircuits in the netlist will be.
If scaling is not active, S is assumed to be simply a user-defined parameter.
Scaling is cumulative, so scaling an already-scaled subcircuit will compound
the effect.
