Mike,

It would be nice if we could make the table of content
hyperlinked so that clicking on the items would take us
to the page.

In the previous spec versions we had the keywords listed
in the table of content at the beginning. They were all
hyperlinked, and it was really convenient to click on them
to go to the keyword I wanted to read about. Could we do
that in this spec also?

The font size of the page numbers (footer) seems to be different
for even and odd pages.

Page break issues:

pg. 10 bottom: "Off_delay" is on pg. 11 all by itself...
pg. 12 bottom: "Full_matrix" is on pg. 13 all by itself...
pg. 22 bottom: "Example" could be on the next page...
pg. 55 bottom: there are two equations here, separated by the page break,
I think they would look better together on the next page...
pg. 65, 74, 86, 87, 125, 127, 132, 154, 161, 164, 165, 166 top:
these seem to start much lower than the top margin,
               probably due the page break...
This seems to be caused by the wonderful Word feature that
they don't take page breaks into consideration when you
format something with extra space before a new section or
               paragraph...
pg. 77 bottom: the header for the table is separated from the table
which is on the next page... I would start the new page
with the [GND Pulse Table] keyword...
pg. 106 bottom: the header and the real thing are separated by the page break...
pg. 108 bottom: there are two parameters separated by the page break, I
think they would look better if kept together (including
                their heading)...
pg. 109, 115 bottom: heading is separated from the real thing on pg. 109...
pg. 139 bottom: It would look better to have the [Inductance Matrix] keyword
together with the [Row] keyword on pg. 140...
pg. 171 bottom: the two return values are separated by the page break... would
be nice to keep them together...
pg. 175 bottom: "InOut" and its description are separate by a page break...
pg. 186, 187 bottom: I would start the examples on a new page...
pg. 188 bottom: the title "Rx-only Reserved Parameters:..." is there by itself
pg. 189 bottom: the {Rx_Clocl_PDF...) example might look better if kept on
                the same page.
pg. 193 bottom" "(Model_Specific" is there by itself...
pg. 197 bottom: I would keep the "[Pin Domain EMI]" line on the same page as
                what follows it...

That's all I could find, but I may have missed some. I hope you
get the idea... Some of these may be too picky, but some are more
serious.

Thanks,

Arpad

Subject: [ibis-editorial] IBIS ver. 5.1, Final Draft 2 for review

Please find enclosed, for weekend reading, a provisional Final Draft 2 of the
Version 5.1 IBIS specification document. This includes fixes for 24 of the 25
requested changes. The change list and disposition is also enclosed. Note
that the compression of the Descriptor section was not done, as this appeared
to make the lists nearly unreadable.

We will review this document in our next meeting. If these changes are
acceptable, this document will be posted for IBIS Open Forum review by Aug. 10,
in preparation for the Aug. 24 approval vote.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.
