*Criteria for nominees:*
- Have an interest in promoting the goals and objectives of IASL;
- Be able to fulfill the role and responsibilities for the position
under consideration as outlined in the Procedures & Guidelines (Handbook of
Organization);
- Be a member of IASL for at least two years with membership fees
current at time of nomination (not as retiree or student);
- Demonstrate effective leadership in local or national associations or
institutions in his/her country;
- Be willing to attend IASL conferences and related meetings;
- Understand that individuals must pay their own expenses to conferences
and/or related meetings; and
- Supply a biographical sketch and position statement to the membership
during the election process.
Additionally, the nominator's and the seconder's membership fees must be
current.

responsibilities of each officer. Nominees for Regional Director must be
resident in the region to be represented (see Regional Representation on
the Board at end of http://iasl-online.org/about/organization/policies.html for
country lists), and fully understand that the representation is for the
entire region, irrespective of national boundaries
Candidates will be announced in the next newsletter following close of
nominations.
