I did manage to get the physical attack to happen with a quest shield up. Even
put in a sound for when the shield gets hit, as it were, although you may want
a better sound when you check it out.
The spells, I am thinking you damageing ones? Can the quest shield repel all
the various damage types available or just base attacks, cause it makes a
difference with most of the spells.
For your info…fire, cold shock and magic are usually the biggest hitters. Air
and earth and sonic damage not so much, but there is also poison, acid and
divine.
The quest shield right now just blocks the base damage.

I put the barbarian sound for the orcs temporarily I hadn't added the actual
Orc sounds that you sent me yet
As for the quest shield normal attacks can usually hit the quest shield But
never pass through it
With magic it all dissipates on impact
As for quest abilities they can do damage to the quest shield A lot more than a
normal attack could
As for quest ignition it will cancel out the quest shield but still not damage
the unit in the process
I did add the Orc crowd sounds
As for the struggling sound it goes with the unit called large dead orc since I
couldn't get my sound editor to put two sounds together
With the on armed and skeleton attack our direct physical attacks normally that
would mean the attacker would take like one or two points of damage for Direct
contact to the quest shield

I did some more updating
I added some more maps to act one
Some are not complete yet
Three new maps at the beginning with zombies standing in for the enemy
character in till I can get them completed
I did find someplace for the double attack
I did modify the hook horror
Bandits in the last three maps are not yet complete I'm still editing the files
you sent me in changing the pitch of their voices to sound more Orcish
The sound file for the struggling sound I cannot seem to mix two sounds
together without closing the program prematurely but accident
I tried to edit the quest shield where the enemy would still attack but it
seems I am unsuccessful
If you can fix it that would be helpful because I am not sure where I went wrong
It will be a while before I can do anymore updating I am in the process of
moving

I like how the skills are coming along. You’ve done a good job with those.
As for the dragon and such, it is your add on. If that’s the way it needs to be
to set up the next act, then so be it.
I probably need to spoil some things here, to help us be on the same page.
The second act starts with news of an assassination attempt on the minataur
king. The plot was allegedly foiled, but as a result of the attempt, Ghent has
closed it’s borders to Amalane, where the characters all are.
The reason for the ban is that the minataur believes Amalane had something to
do with the plot. Thus all travel is restricted into Ghent by normal means.
My characters discuss what to do, showing three routes.
First, They could try running the border thru the wilderness. If they encounter
Ghent soldiers or guards, they might have to kill them. Edric and Dougal
believe this is not a viable solution since the two countries are now a hair’s
breath from a war.
The second option is to sail by boat to Pomjhari. This is an Arabic/Egyptian
culture. The country is below Ghent and has desert between itself and most of
ghent, minus one large river, but to the south it has lush jungle and fertile
lands that grow tobacco and coffee etc.
So the thought was to sail to Pomjhari, then enter Ghent from the south, either
by Pomjhari boat, or thru the desert trade routes.
The biggest problem with this as tat Edric is obviously Amalane, and the
pomjhari kingdom takes a dim view of all non humans. Thy would easily stand out.
I can see Your characters taking this route, because I can easily imagine they
have some talent mixing into different cultures from different planets. This
would not be hard to do for Ron and Riku. Ivy can alter her appearance thru
magic , and if the Jinx sister can turn into a kitten, she will be easy to
bring as well, since cats are considered lucky in Pomjhari culture. One of
their 1001 gods is cat like being in fact .
My guys are going thru the mountains between Amalane and the lands on the other
side to a free unaligned city named Mundabar, a place well known for it’s
gambling dens. It is loosely based on Las Vegas, if Las Vegas was in a Medieval
fantasy world.
My characters are taking the Iron Road, which goes thru the Iron Tops, and
right thru the mountain and The Steel throne of the dwarves.
From Mundabar, they plan on going down south to ghent, since all sorts of
merchants from all over would help them mix in easily.

Higher levels do not give that
Another spoiler alert quest level 12 grants quest armor
But like I said Ron does not like using higher levels and less dire need it but
in the last map Ron was not in a good mood when he woke up

I will make sure that it is not there next time unless I find a use for it later
As for the two women fighting leading up to giving them baths was leading up to
a discussion about scars and bruises and such for later for the tiro

I fought them zombies. The writing intros seem to be better and the fight I was

Isuggest the hook horror be immune to all those charm powers in the future.

creeped me out.
I understand Ron is an honorable paladin type, but everything got weird when
the girls knocked each other out. Stripping them naked and sponge bathing them
while unconscious is just too much. I am pretty sure most women would feel
extremely violated if that ever happened, friends or no friends.
In fact, the whole campsite scene really doesn’t need the point by point break
down like that. A sentence or two would suffice. I liked the scene were Riku is
a it grumpy till she gets fed, which is a neat character development thing. The
drow tough might need a little more fleshing out, meaning, she survived some
kind of terrible experience, I assume, she was to be punished for failure. Then
this Ron guy saves her and know she finds herelf on the surface, trying to
figure out the angles. Can she betray these people and get back in good graces?
Or is she unable to return to the guild, and is now forced to live in a world
of light with two veritable strangers who do things and possess powers she had
never encountered before. Ivy has become very interesting.
What really confuses me is the whole kitten/dragon thing.
Actually I had dragon armor in mind for a character to use in the final battle,
which was going to allow a dragon to be summoned , bt maybe Ron can pick up an
artifact that allows him to transform, sometime before the big fight.
Yet, Ronturning into a dragon right then and there just seems…well, a bit
overkill. I mean, if he could always dragon form, then where is the suspense of
the previous maps? Then the whole jinx 2.0 thing was weird. The loss and
desire for Jinx to be found is gone when one just strolls in and eats some
fish.
Also, the orcs are a rea good opportunity! You can split that into two maps.
The first can be a white knuckkle fight with the big orc leader…have Ron
knocked out, then the second map features Riku and Ivy defending Ron till he
wakes up 20 or 30 rounds later. It forces the girls to work together, and
allows theplayer to get a feel for a new strategy.
Maybe I sound too critical, but actually, I am enjoying what your making, and I
think it will be a really great cross over kind of thing. So I am sorry if I
sound hyper critical.
I did notice the minataur mention. I cant wait to see that one!

Hi I was able to do some more editing and a updating
I finally was able to put in something like an out troll for the last map that
I put together I did come up with an idea for the intro for the first map and I
haven't put in the idea for the intro for the first map yet I will try to do

I am still working on what to put in for a team for the second to last map yet
my friend is still working on the one map pack that he keeps stating he will do
it himself
I put together what I have done up to this point

Ah, I didn’t know that about Riku.
Maybe instead of two final fantasy characters, maybe Riku could hear moans
coming from one of the caravan wagons. Seeing inside it she notices an
enslaved monster. Maybe a minataur or a creature.
Th creature was dangerous and drugged for ease of transport, and it was
forgotten after the dramatic events.
Maybe could rescue this being or creature and in freeing it gainsa friend to
help against the zombies and te hook horror.
Another option might be to have her find a statue of wondrous power. These
statues are about palm sized, and when placed on the ground become a friendly
creature to help fight.
Anyway, just some suggestions.

As for Yuna Paine and Rikku they are from the same world I am not the original
creator of the characters all three characters come from two games called final
fantasy 10 final fantasy 10 two
All three characters are in my personal map pack I am working on separate from
this one

Jinx both me and my friend came up with her
As for the Droad apprentice is the same one that the main characters in the
main story kill after she teleports in behind them
The map my friend is working on explains it more in detail A brief description
of it will be told in the intro of the last map
Now for the question about the two extra characters in the second to last math
They're not even supposed to be there
But they are the only two characters that would fit that would come to Rikkus
side in this situation in the map
They leave because they know she's OK at that point and they know that they've

First off, I am really pleased with how it is looking.
I found myself invested in the characters, but I found myself wanting to write
the intros, or at least give some samples that might help.
Especially the first map. There wasntenough for me to really get a grasp of the
characters. I mean, it is called Ron’s story after all.
It wouldn’t have to be the whole story of Ron, but You had the right idea, with
a flash back to a conversation giving a reason to be there.
Also I am really happy how you narrowed the powers down to a decent level
…except for one or two, but that isn’t a big deal. Really did a greatjob
overall!
The one thing that did confuse me is that the monsters seemed to be very slow,
they don’t attack all that often, and I s suspect it could be due to how
computer units work in TB. The damage for the units are all rolled ahead, so to
speak, and if the AI unit sees it cant do damage, it just won’t bother.
The only thing that can change that would be to try lessening the armor values
of your characters just a little, enough to ive the computer a reason ffor
living, LOL.
So currently the fights are easy because of that. I never once thought the
characters were in any danger.
The map pack also had an issue with not placing Riku. I think you may need to
put her back in to the cell for two an brutal freedom map, because otherwise
you get an error and she doesn’t show up.
Alsoin the Brutal freedom map, there neds to be a mage key to open the iron

It is still a work in progress
Have not yet updated the user guide add on yet
There are changes to the characters
There are some additions put into it not just in the characters
There are some maps one is blank on purpose that's the one my friend is working

The title and the music is there otherwise he still working on it
The last map I have not yet put the intro or victory text in yet
You will notice which maps are still under construction I have their titles and
labeled as such
The second to last map May seem out of place with one of the additions put into
it
At least play the map or check out the victory and in true text to understand
why it's that way
Otherwise this is the progress we have we won't be working on much of it during
the rest the week because it's Thanksgiving

The last hook horror has the death_sound script flag Monkey made so I am
thinking the last death will have the transform play then the death sound. The
transform sound can be avoided by just using a different sound= flag or that
unit, so that when it dies, you just hear the death sound.
The hook horror is a cross between a monster terry brooks created and the
dungeons and dragons version.
In the book, the monster grew stronger when damaged, it’s rage giving it more
and more power. It can be killed, but it took a while. A weapon master named
Garret Jax wanted to fight it, because he had no equals to his fighting
ability. He wanted a real challenge and the monster was what he wanted to
fight. It was called a Jachyra.
I think of it as a hook horror because I seem to recall a picture of the
monster in the third shannara book. It looked pretty close to it’s picture in a
monster manual.
Below is the description from the monster manual of a hook horror.
The hook horror is a bipedal, underground-dwelling monster that looks like a
cross between a vulture and a man with hooks instead of hands.
The hook horror stands about nine feet tall and weighs almost 350 pounds.
It has a tough, mottled grey exoskeleton, like that of an insect. Its front
limbs end in 12-inch-long hooks. Its legs end in feet that have three small
hooks, like long, sharp toes. Its head is shaped like that of a vulture,
including the hooked beak. Its eyes are multifaceted. It is thought that the
hook horror is distantly related to the cockroach or cave cricket.
Hook horrors do not have a smell to humans and demihumans, but an animal
would detect a dry musty odor. They communicate in a series of clicks and
clacks made by the exoskeleton at their throats. In a cave, this eerie sound
can echo a long way. They can use this to estimate cavern sizes and distances,
much like the sonic radar of a bat.
Combat: Hook horrors have acute hearing and are surprised only on a roll of 1.
They always know their territory, and they try to ambush unsuspecting travelers
or denizens. Each round they swing with both hooks. If in any round both hit,
during that round their beaks hit automatically. They automatically inflict 2d6
points of damage each round with the beak until at least one of the hooks is
dislodged.
The eyesight of the hook horrors is very poor. They are blinded in normal
light. They use their extremely acute hearing to track and locate prey. Since
their eyesight is so poor anyway, they suffer no combat or movement penalties
if blinded or in complete darkness. They attack silenced opponents with the
penalties others suffer when attacking blind.
Hook horrors are natural climbers, as their hooks give them excellent
purchase on rock surfaces. They can move at normal speed up vertical surfaces
that are not sheer. Their great weight means that they cannot hang from the
ceiling like other insects.

Essentially the easiest way was to use the death transformation script which
Craig Brett created . You need his name in the map pack settings file. Mine
should already feature that.
When you check it out, after you put the skill, units and sounds in, that the
Hook Horror will start normal, and somewhat weak. After the first 25 damage it
mutates to the next size which will be seen on the screen, and the transform
sound plays.
This works well, because you can make skills o match the power level. You can
increase attacks, health etc. You can even increase damage of the attack in the
unit itself so you don’t have to make more skills for that.
I tested this out and it works. It is free for for you to change in what ever
manner you choose to make it challenging for Riku and Ron, meaning quest powers
or however that all works.
You can even make more units if you want the progression to be slower, etc. The
friendly_type worked for me, but you can transform into whatever unit placed in
the script flag.
I was actually kind of happy how well it turned out. Check it out.

Usually it would help to Play Final Fantasy 7 to understand the movie what's
done some still watch the movie and not play the game
But then they made continuations of the Final Fantasy game on the PlayStation
as well as other game systems they also made at least one that I know of before

As for the characters in the idea I am open to ideas I was just letting you
know about the actual character itself in case you wanted to try and put
something together from both backgrounds if you want to try and make a

From what you were coming up with I was going to put it into the map pack and
surprise him
I'm really liking that idea were a pen allows the actual storyline where they
have a separate quest alongside the main quest of the story
I personally like stories that parallel each other especially when both Cueist
seems so close together and yet they still seem to never meet
It always leaves me the impression while reading a book or listening to an
audiobook with a similar story
Where it seems that the two groups may yet meat or may not meet
Storylines like that always make me want to actually keep reading the book to
find out if they eventually do or not

To be honest, characters you and Alex have ar tough, because they are heavily
influenced by your own desire to make them so much better then super.
This is kind of why superman is really hard to deal with. He flies backwards in
time, reverses planets rotation, lifts continents off the earth’s surface and
flings them into outerspace. Once they are this potant, it becomes all the
harder to make them interesting and identifiable.
So what happens? Everyone and their mother throws kryptonite at him. The need
to make him vulnerable makes him a caricature rather then a character. Hope
that made sense.

Yes that is the sound I've been looking for for sometime now
Yes I do remember seeing the movie I think they didn't quite put everything
together correctly but it still turned out good
But then there were two final fantasy movies that I do recall
Final fantasy spirits within which I know connection to the games
There was final fantasy seven advent children which follow right after final
fantasy sevens storyline
As for this possible storyline most of it would work
The only contradictions are my reference to the quest power and the force are
similar in some ways and I probably should've explain that more in the first
place
quest power can only be used through a quest weapon
The quest wielder can't actually sense or feel The quest power pre say only
when they're about to get hit by another quest ability there are no quest
abilities the consents others
But there are means of blocking the quest weapons connection to the quest power
That would cause the quest weapon to go dormant
Where then the quest weapon can only be used as a regular weapon
Rikku does not have a quest weapon or access to one
In any case Ron would know enough to inform the local law or in this case city
watch of what happened
Ron is also good at not giving too much away about himself or who's with him
just enough to get the information crossed but not too much
As for Ron visiting this world he always goes down to the planet to see things
for himself in person to get first and experience about the level of
government cultures how they interact and level of technology and every time
he goes down to a planet something always happens to drag him in more
But then he can find out about the evil workings of that world as well
especially when he does not plan it that way as for quest demons are actually
created through the quest power how do not know
And for the magical cell that they teleport in Ron would be very difficult for
them to torture his normal response to questions are Oh really
And if The female apprentice or to attempt feminine charm on Ron he would then
smile with genuine interest but then say too bad we are on opposite sides I
might consider it where usually Ron gets smacked across the face as a response
to his comment but always seems to leave a look on their face as if they had
considered it for a split second and then change their minds
I don't know if this would be considered in your storyline but I thought I'd
give a reference to it in case it came up as a possibility later on
The part about melting two together that would work where the attempt to merge
two creatures together that would work a lot for in my opinion

Wow, 15! That is a lot of sequels for a series of fantasy games that are
called Final, lol.
I remember the movie too, That was a fun movie, although a bit strange.
Ok, here is what I am thinking for your friends alternat map pack.
Ron, Jinx and Rikku end up on Antara , which is the game world. They detected a
strange disturbance featureing the mysterious quest power. The disturbance was
just enough to get their attention, so they decide to check it out.
At the Inn, they have that encounter with an ogre demon.
After the encounter, Jinx sees a black cat huddled in a corner of their room.
She takes pity on it, thinking it was scared. She picks it up, but it teleports
her away with itself.
The player knows it was Tabitha but Ron, Jinx and Rikku did not.
Fearful of what might happen to Jinx, they attempt to use the mysterious quest
power to try and detect Jinx’s location. They find the power to be strangely
diffused, like light is diffused thru murky water or a dirty pane of glass.
The attempt fails, forcing them to figure out another means of looking for
their friend.
They don’t go far, since they have to report the attack and dead bodies and
Jinx being whisked away by a cat via magic, to the local city watch. The
constable finds their report is truthful and that they were forced thru self
defense. Just after making the report, Guards come up to the constable, stating
that Gerend has been arrested for his connection with some new slaver guild.
One of gerend’s many accomplices had been caught using some strange coins in an
attempt to bribe a guard.
The thug had given up gerend to avoid the gallows, and also the name of a
wizard named Fazoon.
The constable is not surprised by Gerend being dirty and explains to Ron and
Rikku that people had been abducted over the past few months. Mostly they were
low life nobodies, but their friend Jinx could be one of those abducted. Ron
asks if he and his friend could help capture the wizard, in hopes of finding
their friend. After all, the black cat seemed to be a familiar or at least
possessed magic of their own.
The constable tells them that, most likely, the paladins will be leading the
arrest of the wizard, but that he knew one of the paladin’s men, a man named
Malcolm Crombie . A good NCO and second assistant to Vinton Marlow who is in
charge of the paladins contingent of men.
That night Malcolm has Ron and Rikku join a group of guards to watch the back
of the house. To their shock, the group sees the house erupt in flames.
A massive fire elemental bursts out of the house and ron with Rikku and some
city guards must fight and defeat it.
After the fight, the house is blackened shards and smoke.
The city guard, rikku and ron were left to search for bodies and clues.
No bodies found, Ron and Rikku left alone among the ruins as the guards give up
and leave.
One of the two friends suddenly discover a secret concealed door by accident,
and they decide to plunge ahead alone, for Jinx’s sake.
They go below and discover a labrynth of traps. After they pass thru the
labyrinth, then enter into the laboratory.
They find the lab is partly packed, as if someone packed in a hurry and only
took what they felt most important.
They find formulas and spell scrolls and discover that the wizard fazoon was
actually the cause of the quest power disturbance.
They surmise thru the notes that Fazoon was attempting to meld two beings into
a single entity that could bear the mysterious quest power.
One of the notes showed what seemed like a cat and human hybrid, as well as
ogre and demon, and one particular nasty one. A snake with a woman.
Each note features a number of jotted notes that reveal that Fazoon was testing
by trial and error. A large number of his test subjects have Dead written by
them, some have failed by their category name. Only a quarter of the test
subjects were successes.
Rikku discovers that a page is missing detailing how the Jinx test subject will
be the breakthrough Fazoon needs. The page is half ripped, with the sentence
written split in half. The sentence written is “ I will take the cat woman to…
The other half of the page is stuck underneath a door. She picks the lock and
opens the door to get the paper fragment, but with in the room are the failed
abominations. Horrible mutated creatures that seem to have a strange siphoning
effect on quest power.
After the fight, they find the other half of the page mentions the teleport
circle Fazoon was forced to use.
The friends discover it, and decide to use it.
They land in a jail cell made of a sickly green metal. The metal immediately
glows and begins to drain the two friends empty of their mysterious quest
power.
The weapons and powers are useless, They see that their captor is a drow
wizardess who is accompanied with a variety of creatures.
Two gnolls, an assassin bearing an elf skathe, a second drow female, an
apprentice perhaps. There is also a Halfling, half orc barbarian and a human
cleric.
The wizardess explains that if they attempt to flee, or resist them in any way,
all she needs to do is use a crystal ball located on a table near by and tell
her master. Jinx would then be skinned alive as punishment.
The drow asks them questions…mostly about Jinx, what was used to make her, how
it was done. Rikku states that the drow doesn’t know who she and her master
fazoon is messing with.
The drow wizardess simply says that Fazoon is not her master. Tiaxx is the
master, and Tiaxx will rule all.
She tells her apprentice to do what she has to to get the information out of
them, and she teleports away.
A week or more goes by. Ron and Rikku are weak, having only been given water
and bread. They have been tortured for the information. They know if they tell,
they will die and so will Jinx.
Then one day, faint sounds of battle could be heard. The drow apprentice

Last I checked final fantasy 15 came out recently at least not too long ago
Final Fantasy 12 was the last One I played before I went blind
I remember playing gauntlet and if I recall there was a sequel and I played it
to something about sorrows in the title
As for Gundams it's OK they're pretty much the same thing just with a
different name but I do remember in some of the episodes they did refer to
some of the regular mobile suits as Mech warriors Who would be custom mobile
suits that would dominate the space battle at least until some Gundams showed up
As for the characters in the story line I do understand that that is difficult
Any help with the idea would be helpful . Ron

I actually really enjoyed a PS title called Suikoden. That was such a great

I never got to play diablo, but a person I knew let me watch him play it. I
reminded me of Gauntlet. Although much better of course.
I am still looking, although I found some interesting sounds for who I think
are diablo characters. They are not from diablo itself I don’t think. Since
going blind my son is the only one who keeps up with that kind of thing now,
lol.

Hmmm, Here is the thing. The characters don’t fit and just couldn’t be in the
original. I am willing to include a little description in a map describing the
characters in passing. Maybe as captured slaves, or as people entering a
portal, but actual interaction of anything more as they are is just really
untenable. If I did include the characters, they would b so changed in
everyway, it would not be what they were, nor what I was already planning.
The paralell idea is fine If he wants to make an alternate timeline were his
characters and mine interact and the like, that’s perfectly fine with me. But
it would be a seperte work that was, I guess the term is fan fiction?
Iam at a crossroads. I worked this hard to get the map pack to this point, but
I feel for your friend who just wants to share his creative outlet, which I
understand completely.
