[huskerlug] Weirdness with Acrobat 5-6?

Greetings:
   Has anyone ever seen anything like:?
Computer 1. Desktop with AMD Athlon running RH9.1
Computer 2. Laptop  with Intel Celeron running RH9.1

Produced a pdf highly mathematical presentation file with LaTeX and
Prosper.

Computer 1.  Everything seems OK.  Pdf file works OK with both xpdf and
             Acrobat 5.

Computer 2.  Weird! 
             Acrobat 5 and xpdf both make (different!) mistakes in
             displaying the pdf file on the screen.
             Acrobat 6 with Win XP does just fine.

Of course, the laptop may still have X-windows issues with respect to the
video chip(s).  I don't think the desktop does.
