Ximian has a tool called Red Carpet which is an amazing tool. It's pretty much
a GUI apt-get. Resolves any dependencies and grabs what you need, but not
without telling you what it's going to do.
The other killer feature of RedCarpet is that it runs as a daemon, and you use
the GUI to connect to the daemon, whether it's on the local machine or on a
remote machine. I use it here at work to keep all of the systems up-to-date.
