IBM would probably make quite a decent bid for it.  Although M$ probably has 
more $$ in the bank, they may not be willing to spend a lot on a product that 
they will butcher.  IBM on the other hand, would probably love to get their 
hands on Java so they can fix it.  I've often read that IBMs own JDK is far 
superior to Sun's performance-wise.  A lot of IBM's products use Java 
extensively, so they probably don't want to let M$ get control of it.  I 
would like to give IBM a crack at controlling/furthering Java since Sun 
doesn't do a very good job of it in my opinion.
