Sorry at least on the Wright bros. I have to disagree. I even heard
on Paul Harvey today, that a fellow tried to recreate the first Wright
bros. fiight. He failed. He forgot about one thing. The Wrights
made sure they had a launch site that would give a 25 mph head wind!
The Wrights had many unique ideas, and they had to fight people who
tried to infringe on their patents.
The "B" language the precessor to "C" was created by one or two
guys, who more or less turned it out free to the world, if memory
servers. Sometimes stuff put together by committee, looks just like
that.
Hmmm, even Linux isn't perfect! ---Jim
