Two words: Data Compression

Don't just try and make the "pipes" bigger make the data smaller.

The industry is stuck in a "inefficient" cycle. Make Faster Processor =
not
better code. More disk space instead smaller files.  More BW instead
reducing file sizes. More, More, More instead of better.
