Now that isn't a whole lot of RAM. It sounds like you do need a
2.2 kernel, something like SuSE 6.3, 6.4, etc. I don't know what
the RedHat version would be, but for a workstation, you may have a
hard time getting any meaningful graphics.
If you have some IDE CD-drives that didn't depend on the
connection from the main board, you could stick in one which had
it's own interface card and that should work. I know I've done
that.
I'll be interested if you and get one of the pudgy 2.4.xx kernels
shoehorned into that machine and having it work. ---Jim
