Sounds interesting. :) I had a weird thing happen on my computer although
I'm not sure if it's anything like what you're looking for.
A friend of mine and I had been watching reruns of Twin Peaks and he decided
to learn how to talk backwards. He recorded himself saying, "Something is
coming to get you - Bob. The gum you like is going to come back in style."
in backwards speak. It worked fine on his computer and he sent it for me to
listen to.
The first time I listened to it, only the first sentence played, but it
acted as though it had played the whole thing. I didn't realize there was
even a second sentence. I found that out later when talking to the friend
again.
The next time I opened Winamp, it was the only file on the list so I thought
I'd try to listen to it again. This time it played both parts and started
to repeat. I tried to stop it but it kept repeating. The parts overlapped
with the first part more prominent and very freaky sounding. I closed
winamp hoping that would stop it since pressing stop didn't. It continued.
I reopened winamp and removed it from the list and loaded a playlist and
started it. The "Something is coming to get you" was louder than the music
and was disturbing as it kept repeating. I shut off winamp and tried to
locate the process to stop it that way. I couldn't find it anywhere. In a
final desperate attempt to get it to stop I shut down the computer. It
continued during the shutdown process until the computer was completely shut
off. I was completely alone when this happened which made me quite
apprehensive. I'm glad I wasn't in a horror movie because something bad
would have definitely happened after that.
Hope that might be helpful!
-Renee
