Sorry I can't help you with your problem, but can anyone help me with mine? lol

I have a Gateway Solo 9100 14.1" laptop with the Cyber Trident 9397 DVD chipset 
, 4mb. The screen is a 1024x768 TFT active matrix LCD, does anyone have any 
experience with this model laptop or video card in a laptop?  I'm looking for 
some sample hsync and vsync settings.  I had this thing working before, got 
some rates from somewhere online, but now I can't get it up again (some you may 
remember from the install fest).

Oh well, just thought I'd through that out there. Thanks.

btw - Its got a Debian 2.2 Potato install on it currently.
