We have labview now at COET which has Linux support meaning you can just do
your app with labview and port. Not sure if anyone has tried out the Linux
part of it yet or not, on my things to try someday.
VISA is supported under labview so you can just gen your app and then modify
it just for the interface (GPIB, RS232, etc)
From what I've seen Labview is a great way to do things, seems to be better
than HP-VEE.
