Finally found support people at Redmond Linux (they're now called
Lycoris and seem to have a real website) and emailed them about my CD
burning problems, they're aware of it and said they're workin' on it.
Meanwhile I thought I'd try downloading the K3b frontend, it's supposed
to be more user-friendly. I'm a beginner and haven't had much success
installing from tar files in the past, thought I'd see if any of you
guys could steer me right.
No problem downloading or uncompressing, used gzip -d
(packagename).tar.gz
No problem extracting, used tar xvf
The install instructions file says to run ./configure as root. I get-
"creating......" message followed by a series of "checking......"
messages, they look OK to my (poor) eyes until-
       "checking whether make sets ${MAKE}....no"
      then, "checking for working aclocal...missing"
4 more, "checking for" ....... "missing"
      "checking for gcc... no"
      "checking for cc... no"
"configure : error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH"

Instructions also say I need ID3Lib, is this the problem? I used ls
on my lib directory,
couldn't see anything resembling ID3Lib. Does that tell me anything? If
I do need to download it what do I do with it then? Please be specific.
   Thanx in advance, Dale Andersen
