Be carefully how much you promote Winlinux2000, i
installed it on a modest 450mHz Pentium III system
with 64mb of RAM, well it all went wrong. I could have
dealt with the fact that it was KDE only, or the fact
that it didnt seem to support my older monitor
terribly well. But it totally messed up my normal
windows operations, something with windows virtual
memory management went all wacky. The equivalent of
Linux swap space, my virtual memory was totally messed
up and even an extensive session withtech support
didnt fix the problem. The uninstall didnt work
correctly, and smply deleting the contents of its
partition didnt work. I eventually solved my problems
by reformatting and reinstalling windows. It seems
that this is the only sure way to trouble shoot
windows problems. Just use caution when suggesting any
product with "win" as part of the name.
