[huskerlug] Re: A Couple of Questions

Who is "they" at the computer stores? Many times the advice isn't worth
the paper it is printed on.

That is one thing that frustrates me is the number of incompetent people
working in PC sales and support positions that really don't know their
head from their butthole. I've seen multiple times where local company
employees have given out incorrect information to customers. Once or
twice the information was so bogus that I spoke up and informed the
customer of the truth. Twice after talking to an employee and realizing I
wasn't getting anywhere, I have had other customers ask me my opinion on
certain PCs and peripherals because the other customer had talked to the
same guy and been really frustrated with the information he gave.

I know there are "a few bad apples" but I've seen about 25% incompetence
when I go into these stores.

Just venting,
Eric
