[Homer_Prod_Auct] Homerville - Joe Keim funeral protocol

Mon morning, June 26

Dear Friends,

The Joe Keim funeral will be held Wed, June 28 at his home. The location is
in Sullivan Township. Go four miles west of Homerville on US 224, then north
on TR 281 to the first Amish farm.

For English people, it would probably be best not to attend the funeral on
Wed. But it is permitted. Wed will be very formal and will last all day.
There won't be an opportunity to meet the family on Wednesday. Also there
won't be any obvious or graceful time to arrive or leave.

A better choice would be to visit the home mid-morning or mid-afternoon on
Tuesday (tomorrow, June 27th). Morning, around 10 AM English time, might be
the best.

Just arrive and wait quietly outside the house near the front door.
Eventually someone will come to escort you to meet the family and to see Joe.
Just be somber and quiet. Just a word or two with the family will be enough.

The body won't be in a casket. He will be lying on a board between two
kitchen chairs. He will probably be covered with a sheet up to his chest
with his hands folded. Just pause briefly in front of Joe and then move
away.

Kindest regards,
