E U C H A R I S T I C    A D O R A T I O N

Eucharistic Adoration is now going on at OLPH Church.  It will continue
there until 2 p.m. when the children of Arcadia Catholic School will
accompany Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, to Saint Stan's
Church where  adoration will continue until the 8:15 Mass Saturday
morning.

We encourage you to come to Church any time during the next 24 hours to
pray before the Eucharist, to pray for the success of our parish Week of
Renewal, to pray for unity and peace.

W E E K    O F    R E N E W A L

Our Week of Renewal has begun!  Visit our Web Site for a complete
schedule.  Father Gaffney and Gloria Anson will arrive in Arcadia this
evening and will be here until next Thursday.  Take a look at the
Renewal Schedule and join us for as much as you can.  God can do
anything in our lives.  This is a great chance to give him time, to give
him a chance!

V A T I C A N    S T A T E M E N T    O N    A B U S E

The Vatican has issued its statement regarding the proposed Charter
presented by the U.S. Bishops after their meeting this summer.   The
Vatican has some difficulties with wording and conflict with church law.
Bishop Gregory, president of the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops, has
issued his statement.  We await more word from our Bishops and Cardinals
as the day goes on.  It will all be posted at our Web Site.  Just follow
