At $30 a whack, I twice tried to buy extra RAM for the GX260 I'm trying to set up for Lisa. The third time I paid out closer to $60 but had some success. The Bios says it sees 2 gigs of RAM but it fails the memtest86 big time. It also fails with the original 512 MB RAM card that came in it and an extra 256 MB card I found in my RAM collection. Ive put a DVDRW drive and a 40 GB HDD in it but I'm no closer to having it work. Very frustrating. I"m thinking it's time to take a tip from Lee and just buy her a new system but that's going to take me a while. I'm not a happy camper. I've had slightly better luck with a new Sidux system for myself but I need a couple of 128 MB PC800 RAM cards to complete it. -- Don Crowder http://www.don-guitar.com http://www.lockergnome.com/eldergeek/ //www.freelists.org/list/donspatch http://don-guitar.blogspot.com/ http://www.myspace.com/donguitar A proud user of Debian Etch w/KDE. ______________________________________________________________________________ Highland Lakes Linux User Group (HLLUG): http://www.hllug.org HLLUG mailing list: //www.freelists.org/list/hllug
