Sorry for the "delay". Last days I've been doing other stuff...
Well, last (today) nightly tarball in both machines with your debian
precompiled kernel version 2.6.17.14.
Only one hipd running in each machine.
Connect-client-gai to connect-server:
Again the same error: It stops at "waiting to receive daemon info"
In this case, is the last message from hipd something like this (or is
there

Yes, exactly. Well, the received a netlink message is first and then, the
last one the "netlink route receive".
Attached is the syslog with hipd information, from the start of hipd to
the running of client-gai.
I made I guess on what is happening on your system and I did some changes
to the way netlink packets are read. Can you try and report this with the
latest code (main patch version 201). Thanks.
