yes, to avoid hassle with version control. I don't want to guess the version number number so that I can download the tarball, so the name is fixed. The maintainer scripts also assume this. 

What's wrong with trunk? It's a clear indication about the branch.


I'm thinking about placing the hipl.hiit.fi download link in the
OpenWrt package, but a version number would be helpful there.


Check "doc/ChangeLog".
