Hi, Keith here in Amherst, NYI was in a new construction site in Niagara County north of Buffalo, no power lines and all the equipment have diesels, NO ignition noise either!
Using my Radio Shack HTX-100 and a shorty whip on the truck, I heard the following between 1445Z and 1530Z on 15 July:
28.2140 N4PAL - 589 28.2154 KD5CKP - 559 28.2255 W2DLL - 599+ 28.2257 WB0LYV - 539 28.2280 KB2SEO - 599, hello??? 28.2400 N4LEM - 539 to 589, slowly drifting down to 28.2397 28.2432 W5BUB - 549 28.2630 N5YEY - 559 28.2665 N5DJT - 579 28.2800 K5AB - 599+ 28.2885 WJ5O - 529, but EASY without router birdies!Drew already posted the reason that I copied him down the band. N4LEM was a surprise, I don't have him in the log before. WB0LYV droppe dout after the first 20 minutes as did N4PAL and KD5CKP. The band was shifting around quite a bit.
