[HUG ] Re: tripods

James,
No worries. Courses for horses.
I had only 2 backs for many many years. One with Ilford 100, one with Velvia.
Only rarely did I wish I had more, usually when there was a sunset. Then I
learned that if I was going to shoot a sunset, I'd shoot my BW during the day,
leave it empty and when the sunset came, load it with Velvia. Then I had 2
backs! I usually had some time to reload one while the other was on the camera.
With my type of shooting, slow paced landscapes, this worked out very well. I
found my landscape images improved tremendously once I took more time,
concentrated on composition, and bracketed like heck :-)
And like Jim, I always use a tripod unless I'm shooting family with my 6x6
which I rarely do. SLR/range finder seem better suited for me in this type
situation. Oh yes, and if you're going to use a tripod, use mirror lockup also.
Your images will be so sharp you'll cut yourself!
YMMV.
Best,
Bob

Thank you, I do not have enough backs I took 2 preloaded was not prepared for
BW. That is a good lesson I need to get more backs and have BW film on hand.
When shooting MF what is the most megepixals you can get them scanned. Oh yeh I
almost forgot, sorry for the other day. I got angry on your sad day, I have a
big problem with digital, I'm not sure where it roots from or why it is big. I
have a hard time talking about it with out getting angry really strange for
me.  Have a great day    James

had a controlled burn two weeks ago, it was fried all burnt tried to make the
best. May have some good pics. I have to get used to using a tripod. Thanks

Hi James,

I use a tripod, with MF cameras (Hasselblad & Rollei), 100% of the
time. No exceptions.

:-)
