I got the Kiev prism many years ago, and am very pleased. Very bright,
perhaps moreso than the original Hasselblad product. However, the original
questioner wanted a cold or hot show, so..............

The Ukrainina Prism is excellent as well (unmetered) and dirt cheap

The PME51 is my favorite because it has the red & green lights inside
which
make the meter easy to use. The only thing I don't like is because it is a
45
degree angle & I'm short, when I'm hand holding it, I often cannot get it
as
high as I'd like.

Subject: [HUG ] Appropriate prism for a 500C/M

Hi group!
I hope your Thanksgiving (for those of us in the U.S.) was
good.
I have a question for which I'd like to tap the great
collective brain trust of this group.
I have a late-1980s (circa 1987) vintage 500C/M. Recently,
I
had to return a prism finder I won on eBay because its rear
edge extended past the rear edge of the body by about a
millimeter, making it impossible to attach the film back
(the seller noted in his listing he wasn't sure of the
specific model designation). My thinking about this is that
the "incorrect" prism finder was presumably
designed for a
later model Hasselblad model.
So...my question is this: WHICH prism finder is appropriate
for my particular Hassy? I'd like to get one of the
45-degree PM models, because I'd like the accessory
shoe on
top.
Regards,
Dieter Zakas
