[HUG ] Re: flash trigger question...

MessageHi Eddie,

I'm guessing you have a CF version of this lens? Have you ever had a flash sync
problem with the lens, maybe try a different lens? Have you tried a different
lens to back cable? The sequence of events for capture is as follows:

The back is activated by the little bar that comes out of the lower right hand
corner of the body.
Once activated the back will capture the image as soon as the flash contacts in
the lens close in the lens (shutter completely open).

I had a similar problem with my PhaseOne back and it was that the little bar
was not traveling freely in the camera body (slight delay). milliseconds out of
timing will do it. It may also be caused by a poor flash contact in the lens
or even a weak shutter spring in the lens. With a bit more information I may be
able to help you more.

We're trying to trigger a Leaf Aptus 17 from the flash output of a Carl Zeiss
Sonnar 4/150 lens, and we sometimes get "an image could not be acquired"

What back? and what lens? Are you having a flash sync problem or is it a
capture problem?

Can anyone tell me the how the flash trigger connector on Hasselblad
lenses works - I'm trying to debug a digital camera back installation, but it's
a little difficult when you don't know what's supposed to be there :-)
