[HUG] Re: experience with 553 ELX jams?

Just some things I can think of:

- battery contacts clean and 'springy'?
- release button properly seated and its guts clean? (it is removable, I
  guess you know that)

My guess would be the release button.  The switch stuff construction inside the 
motor
compartment do not make this EE's heart sing to be honest.
