[HUG] Re: experience with 553 ELX jams?

          My 553ELX quit cold an hour after I got it. It was an amazingly
good eBay buy. The Wizard of Queensland opened the battery area and cleaned
out a pencil eraser-sized ball of corrosion from the works. He said it was a
common fault with these, but will now not recur. Hie thee to a Wizard if it
happens again. The 553ELX is a real workhorse of a camera – sweaty, smelly,
and it leaves big deposits on the studio floor, but you can feed it apples
and it will work all day.
