Thanks. I will see if I can find someone else with a blad to test
against.The body had a stuck lens on it last winter so might even return to
the repair shop. (It was the 150mm lens but thought it had become uncocked
in travel and I was not as knowledgeable about the problem at the time) It
is amazing how much one learns from accidents and mistakes :)

Ivan,
In most cases, when a lens "trips" or fires when removed from a camera
body, it is because the front key position on the camera body is a
little bit too low, and needs to be adjusted. When a lens is sluggish,
especially at the slower shutter speeds, it is because the lens needs to
be cleaned, lubricated and adjusted.
