[HUG ] Wait for the Wagon

Dear Friends,

I sometimes wonder about me. No, not the bit about what I
look like in the mirror - I am used to that. I mean about what I was
thinking when I..

1. Retired from my honourable profession and took up selling cameras
in a shop.

2. Laid aside my 35mm , 6 x 6 and 4 x 5 cameras and bought a DSLR.

3. Painted myself with massage oil and ran through the dressing room
at the burlesque club.

I can only conclude that I took leave of my senses, or they took leave of
me. Of course I realise that the only constant in time is variation - all
things change and generally for either the better or the worse. Or in the
case of our federal government, for both at the same time..( Next election I
am voting for the party that legalises massage oil..)

The change of pace and lifestyle occasioned by the first decision is
interesting. I seem to have a great deal more fun in life and a great deal
less worry. This is bound to come to the attention of the authorities and
lead to repression, but I am determined to enjoy it whilst I may. The third
thing, well, don't let them kid you that policemen fed on doughnuts cannot
run.

As for retiring all the good old film cameras, I have cagily retired them to
the household safe and will be regularly exercising and checking them
against the advent of an affordable 6 x 6 back and a revival of interest in
optically correct landscape photography. Buy good, keep good.

 Uncle Dick
