Just for info, here's a shot from a roll of 160VC-2 that I just got back from the lab. It's pretty much a straight scan, no color adjustment either in Silverfast AI Studio or Photoshop CS3. The only thing I've done so far is the crop and a slight levels boost on the near roadway. I don't see a magenta cast at all, so maybe Kodak has corrected that problem - at least in 160VC.

PS: I don't know yet if Lasersoft has modified the Silverfast film profiles for the new film. I have an inquiry in to them about that.....

The new Portra 160NC (160NC-2) has been modified.  How, exactly, I'm not

sure yet because I've just received my first shipment of it.  I'll be
shooting it soon, and post my reactions....

It is the 160, and I have noticed it in proof sheets as well as scans.
If I ever get around to taking portraits again I will give it another
go, but in the meantime will stick to Velvia and Provia for colour.
