Dear Nephew Bob,
Sometimes I think that I am no wedding photographer
either.... at least this latest job has given me an insight into another
culture. We did a Chinese Tea Ceremony between the gardens and the
reception. It was a very charming and happy little thing - the formal
introduction of the new family member to either side. All theatre, of
course, but fun to do. Boring to photograph, but next time I will vary the
angles more and circle the dais. I still tend to flag a bit during the
eating and sit around dancing phase but I hope to trim this off with price
increases in the future.
I really want to do some ethnic weddings - one of my mates
did a Sikh one and he said the opportunities for colourful photos were
almost too much. Plus the food was good.
Uncle Dick
