Nivarox!  That was it!  

It is a special alloy used mostly in the watch industry.  The name is a acronym 
for 'Nicht Variabel, Oxydfest' (Non variable, non-oxidizing). 

Nobody remember what the Compur shutters in the C-series Zeiss optics are good 
for?
