The reason to the dollar fall is far less 'political' and due to any 'dude' in
a white house - or any house of any other color, - than the simple fact that
the Euro has - in a very short time, taken over as reserve currency for a lot
of people in unstable economies like countries in the Middle East, Russia etc.
Here they are buying 'Euros' (instead of dollar) to safekeep their monthly
sallary. To keep it in local currency has proven to be all to risky (ref the
ruble fall of 98').
The effect of the dollar fall, as I predict will spell the end of both
Hasselblad and Leica, is going to be felt by all of us, regardless of which
side of the Atlantic we are on. We are in this together, you see.
