[HUG] Re: SV: Re: THE SWC

Mark,

You are going much too fast for me.
I just got used to the Blackberry thing.

When commenting on the sound of an SWC camera
think about the mirror blow and the transport noise of
an SLR Hasselblad.
You can wake up a complete home with elderly people doing that.

The SWC gives a nice modest dry click.
It will only be heard during a game of billiards or in a library.
I have gotten away with the shutter sound on all other occasions.
Nobody notices that camera.

Richard.

Nobody has got a figure? 50.000 - 100.000 - 1.000.000?

I think I remember having read (but that could very well be wrong)
something in the 150-200k range. Now if I could remember where I read
that.. %-]

Always my dream camera I borrowed a new SWC from a friend in 2000 (the year)
for a month.
I found the sound of the shutter going off to be a bit disconcerting.
Quite loud.
Off hand I cant think of a louder shutter I've ever heard. Anybody?
This took away from it being a medium format Leica in my mind.
I walked around with it on a little tripod focused at its closest and at f11
to get everything from infinity to 3 feet in focus. And leveled. And
normally not shooting anything further than 4 feet from me. I dd get some
very impressive neg I think I shot 220 Tri X Pro 320.
