Maybe your Kodak rep should spend some more time reading productsheets from his employer.
NC and VC are both suitable for daylight and flash use.
Most flash units will give a color temp similar to daylight.
It is a matter of preference which of the two NC or VC you choose.

That 160NC is for studio portraits with studio flash is something a Kodak rep here in Norway told me on a photo exhibition. - I had been using the NC up until then, but prefered Kodak 'Gold', which is no longer available. Now I use only VC and only ISO160. At higher ISO color film is not good enough compared to digital.
