Yes, the Tioga pass road is still closed from snow. Much higher up.
The east side of the Sierra's is pretty cool though. I hope someday to get up 
to Mono Lake and Bristle Cone Forest.

Bob,

Some very fine photos of a world-wide-famous place.  When I tried to get into 
Yosemite back in late May 1991 (must have been 20th of May) it was impossible 
to reach because of snow blocked the road.  We tried to reach it from the Mono 
Lake side, though.
