[HUG] Re: Per Nordlund is back...

Hello Joanne,
yes, the V system is certainly more limited now than it once was, agree.
But "kill off the cash cow" sounded like we had stopped production or
something. We haven't.
BTW, I hope your positive interpretation version is correct.

Best regards,
Per

I think Frank is referring to the demise of the V-Series.
In looking at the history of Hasselblad lately, I have been struck by the
shortening of product generations over time. For example, the SWA/SWC and
V-system family lasted 50 years, the 2000/20x 30 years, and the H-series
has gone through 6 generations in only 5. The diversity of products has
also diminished. You could interpret this negatively, as a business in the
process of exiting a market, or positively, as a business re-focusing on
its core strengths. It is certainly not an unusual pattern in
technology-driven markets, and maps quite well to the history of
computers.

Dear Uncle Dick,
sorry for that missing half of a moose. Would half of a cash cow do
instead? We seem to have killed one off.

(Sorry, all. I'll have learn to stick to the technical stuff.)

Frank, I haven't been able to follow that long thread about the killing of
cash cows. What are you referring to?

Dear Frank,

Please be nice to Per Nordlund. He treated me very well when
I made a Hasselblad enquiry about wild animals in the Swedish countryside
last year. He sent me an entire half of a moose. I am waiting this year
for the other half and the assembly instructions.
