The discounts are listed on line... My memory is that it was on the
digital body + lens. It was a big discount in dollars...
I believe it was the first and final death knoll ( sp?) for the S2.
Whatever price they thought they could get, against the H Series, is now
diminished, by a lot. Plus the market for new MF digital cameras is
diminished because guys that wanted to buy a new MF camera, are now
thinking.. I could get a H series for 40% less, or wait for the
yet-to-be-released Leica S2 at a price they won't tell me. I think I will
go with the bird in the hand...
The S2 is a BIG opportunity waste.
Boy, did I catch a load of you know what on the Leica list for that one..

Hasselblad sent an e-mail ten days ago about decreasing the cost of their
equipment. (Probably the announced "up to 40% savings" will be on something
like filters!) I sent this e-mail in response, but got no reply so far:
