Dear Richard,

 

          My condolences on the loss of the shutter. I have not yet
experienced such a wrench but I shall take your experience as warning. The
business of losing darkslides also worries me – only one of my magazines has
the natty little storage slot, and I can’t find any off-market copies to add
to the other ones. Perhaps someone can direct me.

 

          String on the slide handle attached to one’s hat? An ocky strap
from the slide to the magazine? Or your idea of a bag of spare slides in a
fanny pack and when you need to mark your way from the edge of the woods to
the gingerbread house you drop them along the path….

 

         It is the only thing I envy the H series for – the internal
darkslide.
