[HUG] Re: Oh, my aching (A12) back....

There's a large collection of dark slides at the bottom of the cliff from where folks were photographing, and bent over to get a filter (or something) out of their camera bag. Likewise down amonxt the rocks along the shore, it slipped out while clambering over them, etc... The reason for the dark slide holder (Hasselblad or Lindahl) is because so very many slip out of shirt pockets OR get bend when on rear pants pockets - one ALWAYS sits down and THEN remembers the dark slide...

I've taught a lot of Hasselblad workshops. Early on, before the dark slide holder, we always took a dozen new dark slides as invariably, the participants would either lose them or bend them.

Rollei was smart - they built-in the dark slide holder from the inception of their 6x6 SLR cameras (around 1955ish).

My normal dark slide holder? I wear a shirt with a top pocket and the DS slips nicely and conveniently into it. Works a treat, although no doubt ergonomically better for men than many women.
