[HUG] Re: OUCH ! need a softrelease for my 500 c/m

The Hasselblad hand held thing is an old argument.

I'm sure Jim and Frank are right. And if money were no object I would have
every bit of Leica gear know to man as well as every bit of Blad gear.

But...

It is only an argument that is correct if you have the luxury of being able
to own both.

I don't have that luxury and am content to own just a Hasselblad kit. I
understand this system works best on a tripod but I love the feel of a Blad
in my hands and have loads of shots I couldn't have taken on a tripod and
hmmm, there was no Leica in my possesion, to take them with.

What was I to do?

Not take the shot because I can't afford a Leica?

No, I own a blad, I feel honoured to own it and I'm going to use it any way
I can. But I understand the handheld shots are not going to super sharp,
but that isn't the Holy Grail for photography.

Getting the shot is.
