Yup. Should have paid more attention during the metrification classes in
grade school.....  cm is correct.....

If the old standard of 645 is actually 55 x 41mm, then I stand
corrected..... this new back sounds about right.....

It was the old time marketers who lied.......

cm, not mm

And what is generally called 6x4.5cm is not really that.  Read on..

Presumably they mean that 53.9mm is very close to the 55mm width of filmgate
on a rollfilm back.  The hight of the filmgate of a A16 back is 41mm.

For me that is close enough.

I would not call this marketing nonsense....
