I wasn't influenced to sell my CF gear to spend an additional $30-60 K on
new H gear.....

OTOH, I am not a pro..... nor do I have $30K plus hanging around with
nothing to do......

They made it free after they received payment for the print version.
No refund.
I guess we who pay must do that for the news value. A CF vs H-lens 
comparison, for instance, loses all value and/or interest after a few 
months. Doesn't it?
