It never seizes to amaze me how people from the Netherlands talk about their 
country as if it was Holland.
Even more when it is done in response to someone not from the Netherlands 
correctly calling the Netherlands by its proper name.

You probably call Amsterdam Emsterdemm too, don't you?
;-)

(For those who don't know, calling the Netherlands Holland is the same as 
calling the U.S.A. Montana, or calling Germany Schleswig-Holstein, etc.).
